Xbox 360 E74 System–RIP 360?
A couple days ago I got my 2nd E74 system error (blinking red on bottom right) . Last time I got one was a couple month ago and my xbox was able to play it off after I let it rest for a day; it was fine until now. My xbox had a RROD last year and I sent it in for repair.
First thing to try to fix this was I unplugged everything and let my xbox just sit for 2 days. Plugged everything back in and still had the error. Today, I borrowed my friends AV cable (90% of the time it is a problem with that) and I plugged everything in correctly and set it for HDTV (use R/B/G and R/W colored wires, no yellow), and surprisingly it didnt work again, I still had the error. Is my xbox 360 dead, or did I do something wrong?
PS: E74: AV cable error... There is a problem with the AV cable, try using a different AV cable. If the cable is known to be working then there is a 90% chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip connected directly to the AV cable) in rare cases it is the GPU.
I've tested my friends working Xbox 360™ Component HD AV Cable, yet I still get the error.
Before I got the problem, I was playing a game online and had many weird white lines just pop up and it messed with the graphics, I cant remember exactly what happened (it was last week).
